The Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club has a variety of sports and social clubs operating. Find out what's happening by viewing our What's Happening Board in the Reception Foyer which displays the up and coming entertainment and events. Listed are the details of our many sub clubs available to club members.
Snooker & Billiards
We provide eight full size snooker tables well known for their quality, in a large, comfortable area. Visits to and from other clubs and provinces throughout the North Island. Fortnightly tournaments. Experienced and new players welcome.
8 Ball
Drawn pairs every Wednesday 6.45pm evening. Regular tournaments for Club. Members including pairs, singles and mixed pairs. Qualifying tournaments for chartered club 8 ball section North Is. and NZ championships.
Outdoor Bowls
For good companionship, socialising and friendship join our outdoor bowling club. New members of all ages are welcome to join at any time. We have winter coaching and play winter tournaments every week on our weather, artificial greens.
Indoor Bowls
The Indoor Bowls Club is very active throughout the winter months. Club night is Tuesday and there are chartered club tournaments from late March until September. We welcome new players and our members are always willing to assist beginners.
Golf
An active Golf committee caters for the interests of our golfing members. Monthly tournaments (subsidised) are held at various golf clubs throughout the
Waikato and every now and then a mystery day are thrown in as a surprise for the members. The accent is on fun and new members are always welcome.
Cricket
The club cricket team play during the summer months of daylight savings every Tuesday night from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. We compete in the Hamilton Division 1grade. Our team is still very sociable and welcomes any new members who wish to play 20/20 cricket at the top level. We also compete in and co-host an annual tournament with the Hamilton Workers, Glenview Club and the Waipa Cossie. We also have an annual prize giving which includes a day of fun and activities followed by the presentation of trophies and awards. If you are interested in playing we hold a few net sessions in October to warm up before the start of the season. Cards
Our Card Section has two games of Cards each month. 500 is played on the 2nd Sunday of the month, starting at 1pm - register from 12:30pm. Euchre is played on the last Sunday of the month, starting at 1pm - register from 12:30pm. Should these days or times not suit or you would like to play in the evening we would l like you to contact us. So we can look at other days, nights and times as we are here to please and welcome every one of all ages. f you are an interested beginner or a non player you may like to have a beginners, day - evening class. Fishing
Our very active fishing club has regular trips away. Day, overnight or weekend trips to great fishing spots feature in their calendar. New anglers are always welcome to join them for a fun, and hopefully profitable time.
Travel
We have a subsidized trip every six weeks to a variety of interesting places and also visit different clubs for lunch. A day trip e.g. ten pin bowling and dinner at the casino or further a field. At the end of summer there is a three day weekend away. Our members are a friendly lot and welcome new members so why not join us and see where we take you.
Veterans
The veterans committee work together to provide coach trips, luncheons, weekly games of cards, indoor bowls and also arrange subsidized trips to other clubs.
Sport of Kings
The Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club Sport of Kings arranges exciting tours to various race meetings which includes free food and beverages. We also have a weekly $500 jackpot!!
Cosmopolitan Dance Club
Put on your dancing shoes and make your way to the Cosmopolitan Club every third Wednesday evening of the month and dance the night away to old and new favourites.
There is also once a month on Sunday dinner & dance this event is usually held every 2nd Sunday of the month.
Four Wheel Drive
Four Wheel Drive outings which are fun for the whole family!!
